Haircut!
I decided it was time for a hair change after not having a hair cut for 6 months. I was getting really sick of it being so long and ratty so I went a lot shorter this time! I tried a new hair dresser that I actually FINALLY like. Here are a couple pictures of the new do!

Thanksgiving
This year we spent Thanksgiving at my sister-in-law Kelly's. It was supposedly one of the coldest Thanksgiving's in AZ in a long time. It was only in the high 40's low 50's. We had a very nice meal and a nice time visiting with everyone. Dan made Marko a custom bags set with the Finnish flag painted on each box. Marko was very excited!

Kelly and Marko got the Kinect for X-box. It's like a Wii but you don't hold any controllers. The sensor bar just picks up your movements. Here are some pictures of Dan and Austin playing Kinect.

See....the big one can be cute too! = )
We are 4 days away from my favorite holiday! I love Thanksgiving more than any other holiday. We started a little tradition a while ago where we cook a Thanksgiving breakfast of orange cinnamon rolls, eggs and potates o'brien. We watch the parade while we eat and then start cooking our contribution to turkey day dinner. I just have to make it through the next 3 days of school. I have lots of fun things planned for my kids though so it should go by fast! I can't wait!
I was cleaning out the hope chest this weekend and Austin was "helping" me when he found the microphone for Rock Band. I hooked it up for him and he had so much fun singing and hearing his voice come out of the tv. Check out the videos below!
Dan and I were up early with the boys on Saturday and Dan noticed a bright light in the eastern sky. We watched it for a while and took some pictures. We investigated on the internet and we think it is the planet Saturn!

Austin's newest favorite game is "struction." He plays construction site outside in the backyard right off the porch. He just digs and digs and would stay out there all day if we would let him! Yesterday he was digging and somehow ended up with a mouth full of dirt. He came inside with his mouth wide open and he was trying to tell us he had dirt in his mouth but he couldn't close his mouth at all to make the words sound correct. It was hillarious. We got the dirt out and he went right back to "struction!"

Cooking Adventures
Dan and I have been working on losing weight for the last 4.5 months. We've been pretty successful so far and it has forced us to change our eating habits. The best part is that we have had to prepare new dinners since our old dinners were not healthy by any means! So...I thought when we have something fun and yummy I would post it on here with a link to the recipe. (I know....how original.) The first one is below!

Okay so I guess I should have turned the plate around cuz my ugly bag salad is in the front but it's the biscuits in the back that were really yummy! The biscuits were stuffed into muffin cups. Then you put in a mixture of diced chicken, chicken soup and cheese in the middle and bake them. Soooo yummy!

This was another interesting one that Dan's mom heard and we tried. You shove a half full can of beer up the chicken. Then you have to sit the chicken up while it cooks. It was really, really good! Very moist! Definitely will do this again!

So it has come to this.....
I find that I have no time (or money) to keep up with scrap booking right now. And as I continue to get more sick of my Facebook addiction I am going to try to make a conscious effort to put my time into this. I am inspired by my friend Angie who has done this for a long time now and has an awesome collection of pictures/blogs for the past 3 years of her family. So I am determined! There's absoultely nothing in the "News" category for us at the moment. So I'll just start by posting pictures of the boys! = )

Lucas recenlty started eating "solid" food. We started with carrots. Look at that look of horror on his face! By the end...he was smiling.

Lucas is now doing very well at sitting up on his own! He loves to play toys. Only problem is when Lucas tips, he can't get himself back up on his own. Austin likes to watch him. I think he is intrigued by him and the fact that Lucas can't do the same things he can.
